About Helix Tower Drop

Helix Tower Drop is a ball drop tower game: a bouncing ball sits on top of a tall spiral tower, and you spin the tower so the ball falls through the gaps in each floor. Every floor you pass scores points, and the bright danger pieces, in orange, red or pink, are the ones to avoid. Land on one and the run is over.

The fun is in the falls. Drop through two or more floors without bouncing and the points multiply; drop through three and the ball turns into a fireball that smashes the next floor to pieces, danger pieces and all, leaving a glowing trail behind it. Each level is a new tower that grows taller as you climb the levels. Every three levels takes you to a new world, from the Candy Tower and Sunset Spire to the Jungle Totem, Ice Pillar, Desert Obelisk, Moon Tower, Autumn Mill and Neon Core, each with its own colours and sky, and some with a landmark at the foot of the tower, such as a giant layer cake, a tiki totem, a pyramid, a moon base or a glowing reactor. From level 6 some floors spin on their own, faster from level 12, and every fifth level is a bonus tower that pays double coins. If a danger piece catches you, you can resume once from the floor you were on with a short shield.

Cleared levels pay coins, with more for higher levels. Spend them in the shop on eleven ball skins, from Ruby and Ocean to Gold, an Egg, a Neon Cube and Obsidian, plus a Pumpkin, a ringed Planet and a Disco mirror ball, and on three upgrades: Shield survives hits on danger pieces, Fireball Start smashes the first floors of every level, and Coin Bonus raises level rewards. Helix Tower Drop plays in your browser on phones, tablets and computers, with no download.

How to play Helix Tower Drop

  1. The ball starts bouncing at the top of the tower as soon as the game loads.
  2. Drag left or right to spin the tower so a gap moves under the ball.
  3. Fall through the gaps and keep away from the bright danger pieces.
  4. Fall through three floors in a row to become a fireball and smash the next one.
  5. Reach the bottom of the tower to clear the level and collect your coins.

Controls

Phone and tablet
Touch and drag left or right to spin the tower.

Tips

  • Small drags are safer than big swipes: line up the gap, then let go and let the ball drop.
  • Chain falls on purpose. Three floors without a bounce makes a fireball, and a fireball can land safely on danger pieces.
  • The score of each floor is multiplied by the level number, so later levels fill the score fast.
  • Buy Shield early: one forgiven danger hit per level saves a lot of runs on the tall towers.
  • Fireball Start smashes the first floors for you, which gets you past the top of the tower in a second.
