About Color Water Sort
Color Water Sort is a water sort puzzle: each tube holds four layers of coloured water, and you pour from tube to tube until every tube is a single colour. You can only pour onto the same colour or into an empty tube, and a pour moves the whole top band at once, so the order of your moves matters.
There are 200 hand-made levels. The first ones teach the rules with three or four tubes; by level 30 you are working with eleven tubes, and from level 101 the boards alternate between eleven and fourteen tubes with up to twelve colours. After level 200 the hardest hundred come back while the level number keeps counting. Each level allows three undos, a tube you finish gets a stopper, and if you run out of moves you can add an extra empty tube, take back three moves or skip the level, once per attempt.
Every world of ten levels is its own place: the tubes stand in a steel lab rack beside a flask and a microscope, in a driftwood rack with coral and a starfish, in a candy-cane rack next to a sweet jar and a lollipop, on bamboo, and finally in a golden rack among crystals, and finished tubes close with the world's own stopper. Solving a level pays coins, more on later levels. Coins buy background themes (Sky, Lagoon, Candy, Sunset, Midnight, Neon and Gold), Extra Undos, a Spare Tube you can add for free each level, and a Coin Bonus. The game has colour-blind friendly palettes, saves your level in the browser and runs on phones, tablets and computers with no download. Tips
- Before your first pour, find the colour that has the most layers already on top of tubes; freeing that one first usually opens up the board.
- Keep an empty tube free for as long as you can. Pouring a single layer into an empty tube spends your most valuable space, so do it only when it uncovers a colour you can finish.
- Pour onto tubes that are already mostly one colour. A tube with three matching layers needs only one more pour to close with a stopper.
- Undo only remembers your last five pours, so if a plan goes wrong, undo straight away instead of trying to fix it later.
- On the big two-row boards, finish one colour at a time instead of moving many colours a little; half-sorted tubes block each other.
